Cozette Mckibben

Cozette Morgan McKibben, 84, of Bruce, passed away Tuesday evening at Bruce Community Living Center after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Centralia, Ill., to Walter Clifton and Sadie Webb Morgan.
Mrs. McKibben was a member of Parker Baptist Church where she attended as long as health allowed. She was a devoted family woman working along side her husband, Max, for many years on their farm West of Bruce.  The two of them shared a love for gardening and shared their vegetables far and near with friends and family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce with the Rev. Billy Hill, the Rev. Forrest Poindexter and the Rev. Paul Morris officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bruce Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Max McKibben; three sons, Dana McKibben (Claudia) and Kenny McKibben (Jeanne) of Oxford, and Mike McKibben (Gail) of Bruce; a brother, Eddie Morgan (Joy) of Starkville; a sister, Elaine Borland of Indianola, Iowa; four granddaughters, Heather Sullivan, Jessica Haltom, Rebecca Hurt and Elizabeth McKibben; a grandson, Dusty McKibben and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margie Williams.
Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce is in charge of the arrangements.
