Danny Bennett

Danny "Doc" Bennett, 64, of Bruce, MS, went to his heavenly home on Sunday October 23, 2022, at Regional One Hospital in Memphis TN. He was born on May 12, 1958, in Bruce to R. L. Bennett and Bonnie Murphree Cowsert.

Danny spent many seasons of life as a carpenter and working on his rental propertys. In his spare time Danny loved tending chickens, goats, and his garden. He was a devoted to his church and was an ordained member. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

He leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence: mother Bonnie (Charles) Cowsert of Randolph, MS; son Seth Bennett of Bruce, MS; daughter Mindra Bennett of Bruce, MS; brother Ronnie (Nancy) Bennett of Bruce, MS; and sister Becki (Mike) Prewett of Bruce, MS.

He was preceded in death by his father R. L. Bennett and daughter Katelin Rochelle Bennett.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service celebrating Danny's life will take place on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Bro. Rob Pelkey and Bro. Greg Bray officiating. Benny Barefield, Hunter Barefield, Jeff Bennett, Joe Bennett, Jerry Brasher, Robert Lee Brasher, Gary Cowsert, Sidney Skyles, and Jay Prewett will carry Danny to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
