Danny Alton Houston

Danny Alton Houston, 72, of Bruce passed from this life on April 8, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Calhoun City. Born on November 28, 1948, he was a son to the late Herman Alton Houston and Sarah Alice Lafayette Houston.

Danny spent many seasons of his life as the owner and operator of a Chevron service station before selling his business. Aside from running his service station he could be found behind the wheel of a big rig hauling timber. When Danny wasn’t busy working he found joy in camping and spending time with his beloved dog.

He leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence; one son, Jeremy Houston of Jewitt City, Connecticut; four grandchildren: Ashely Houston, Casey Houston, Ryan Houston and Ean Houston of Jewitt City, Connecticut; two great grandchildren: Auden Houston and Michael Houston of Jewitt City, Conneticut; two sisters: Faye (Gary) Massey of Oxford; Joyce (Jimmy) Hughes of Bruce; one nephew, Brian Hughes; two nieces:  Christy Larson and Alecia Todd

He was preceded in death by his parents; Herman Alton Houston and Sarah Alice Lafayette Houston; one son, Heath Houston

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 10, 2021  at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service remembering Danny’s life will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2021at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Craig McCormick officiating with Bro. Darrell Logan assisting,  Tommy Collins, Will Larson, Sam Larson, Danny Hardin, Brian Hughes, Hayden Todd, Cameron Hughes and Stanley Thompson will carry Danny to rest in Memory Memorial Garden.
