David Kenyon Allen, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, was born on November 2, 1948, in Calhoun City, Mississippi. He peacefully passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 76, after living a life filled with purpose and dedication. Raised in a close-knit community, David graduated from Calhoun City High School in 1966 before pursuing higher education at the University of Mississippi where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1972.

David served in the United States Air Force from November 13, 1973, until November 27, 1979, where he proudly achieved the rank of Captain and served as an interceptor fighter pilot and flight instructor, on the T-33 and F-106. His service to his country was marked by his commitment to excellence and a deep sense of integrity.

Following his military career, David carried his skill for instruction towards earning his master's degree in education and began sharing his knowledge and passion for science with students throughout the region. This experience transitioned his career to making meaningful impact as a teacher and later, director, at NMRC where he retired.

A man of strength and constitution, David was characterized by his inquisitive nature, love for the outdoors, international travel, and a profound dedication to studying the Bible. In his final years, he deeply treasured every moment spent with his wife and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Anne Allen; his son, Andrew Allen (Brittany) of Anchorage, AK; daughters Elizabeth "Beth" Allen of Pensacola, FL, Tiffany Smith (Chet) of Ponder, TX, Martha "Grace" Fisher (Terry) of Rapid City, SD, and Abigail Allen of Tupelo, MS; his brother, Major Kent Allen (Stephanie) of Big Creek, MS; his sister, Camille Davis (James Ray) of New Albany, MS; and his cherished grandchildren, Sarah Schmitz (Noah), Isabella "Izzy" Heatherly, and Asher Ronan Allen.

A visitation will be held on June 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service officiated by Bro. Robert Earl Alexander at 11:00 AM to celebrate David's remarkable life and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him. These ceremonies will take place at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Bruce, Mississippi, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honor of a life well-lived. David will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Big Creek, MS.

David Kenyon Allen's spirit will continue to thrive in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed by many.
