David Bailey

David Bailey, 89, of Bruce, MS, died Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - North MS in Oxford, MS.
He was born of February 23, 1928 in the Loyd Community in Calhoun County, MS.

He was baptized in the Loyd Methodist Church at an early age. He moved his letter to the Bruce United Methodist Church where he attended regularly and held and served different positions in leadership was Sunday School Superintendent for 40 years, he enjoyed Easter breakfast and fish suppers. He was a grocery manager for over 41 years at Weeks Big Star and retired on July 4, 1997,  a monument dealer sense 1949.

He was the son of the late Elisha Allen Bailey, Sr. and Mary Annie Smith Bailey. He was also preceded in death by 2
Brothers: Edmond Bailey and Rev. E.A. Bailey and 2 Sisters: Mary Helen Crawford and Lela Belle McCluskey.

He is also survived by his wife: Mary Louise Lewis Bailey of Bruce, MS., One Daughter: Vicki Bailey Austin (L.C.), of Randolph, MS, and
One Son: Danny Lewis Bailey (Melanie), of Oakland, MS One Sister: Lanetia Richardson (Merlin), of Anguilla, MS and One Brother: Homa Bailey (Ruth), of Tupelo, MS and 4 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12PM until 2 PM prior to the Funeral Service.
The  Funeral service will be at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 28, 2017, with Bro. Rex
Wilburn officiating and Kay Falkenberry and Bro. Lannis May will be assisting. Burial will be at Bruce Cemetery, Bruce, MS.

Pallbearers will be Scott Allen, Trent Butler, Caleb Goodwin, Tony Goodwin, Robbie Lynch, Eric Weeks, Cris Wilkinson and Jake Wilkinson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Methodist Mens Kitchen Crew and Paul Hendrix.
