David Leonard Duke

David Leonard Duke, 64, went to his heavenly home on August 17, 2017 a his residence in Calhoun City.  He was born August 19, 1952 in Bruce, Mississippi. David was a graduate of Calhoun City High School class of 1970, after graduation he served in the U. S. Air Force.  He was chief engineer at Ingram Barge Company for over thirty years.  David was a loving husband, father, cook, mechanic, outdoorsman and a devoted Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents the late D. L. Duke and Trudy Morris Duke and two brothers Billy Lynn Duke and Jimmy Duke.

Those left to honor David's memory include his wife; Beverly Murphree Duke, Calhoun City, MS, a son; Devin (Danielle) Duke, Denver, CO, a daughter; Lindsey Duke (Joe Humphrey), Mooreville City, MS, grandson; Felix Toney a sister; Elizabeth Roberts, Millington, TN, a  and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M.. The funeral will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00P.M. with Bro. Dwight Brown officiating with burial to follow in Old Town Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are James Chandler, Bobby Duke, Billy Hitt, Joe Humphrey, Tim Murphree, Buster Russell and Stanley Skyles.
