David Burlett, Sr.

David M. Burlett, 80, passed away, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Baptist Calhoun Health Hospital in Calhoun City. He was born March 1, 1938 in New Jersey to the late parents of Frank and Dorothy Bennett Burlett. He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of The Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hardy Burlett and two sisters, Betty Elizabeth Bishop and Barbara Mc Varish.

He is survived by a daughter, Dianne Coppock, Knoxville, TN; son, David M. Burlett, Jr, Oakhurst, N.J.; 5 Grandchildren, Steven Wirthlen, Michael Coppock, Caitlin Burlett, R.J. Burlett, Jesse Burlett; 5 great grandchildren and a special friend Rose Marie Follmen, Houlka, MS.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joey Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
