Dean Patterson

Dean Patterson, passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 53 in Houlka, Mississippi. Born on February 4, 1971, in Vardaman, Mississippi, Dean dedicated his life to his passion for construction and craftsmanship as a carpenter, combining both artistry and functionality in every piece he created.

Dean was known for his exceptional woodworking and leatherworking skills, melding rustic charm with contemporary design. Beyond his professional pursuits, he found solace in his thriving garden, nurturing plants with the same care and attention he gave to his projects and loved ones.

Dean is survived by his brother, Scott (Phyllis) Patterson, and his  sister, Sonya, and husband, Jeff Stout of Pontotoc, Ms. He will be remembered not only for his talents but for his warm spirit and the kindness he showed to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

A public viewing for Dean will be held on December 13, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, allowing friends and family to pay their respects and celebrate his life. A funeral service will take place the following day, December 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sam Yarbrough and Bro. James Taylor officiating Following the service, Dean will be laid to rest at Poplar Springs Cemetery. Bobby Brown, Brent Foster, Chris Foster, Rick Foster, Paul Patterson and Andrew Snellings will serve as Pallbearers with Stan Mize, Keith Snellings and Pete Weldon serving as Honorary Pallbearers.

As we gather to honor his memory and reflect on the legacy he leaves behind, we invite all who knew and loved Dean to join us in celebrating a life well-lived. May his spirit continue to inspire us as we cherish the moments shared and the memories forged with this remarkable man.

Dean was preceded in death by his mother; Iris Bowles Patterson, and father Emmett Patterson.
