Listen to Obituary

Deborah Kay Aston, 59, of Calhoun City departed from this life on Tuesday, September 07, 202 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. Born on the winter’s day of December 11, 1961 in Water Valley, she was a daughter to the late William Pendergrass and Patsy O'Dean Cofer Pendergrass.

Deborah, a 1980 graduate of Coffeeville High School, spent her days as a homemaker looking after the needs of her family. Aside from life as a mother and loving grandmother, she found joy in the freedom of riding motorcycles. Deborah was also a lifelong member of the Bruce VFW where she showed support for those veterans who faced wartime in foreign conflicts. She attended Macedonia Baptist Church where she learned about the wonders of the Lord. Though she has gone to rest in a sacred place free from sickness, Deborah will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.

She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence; husband, George Robert Aston of Calhoun City; two sons: James Robert Aston of Memphis; Steven Paul Aston (Jennifer) of Bruce; one daughter, Crystal Alicia Aston (John Paterson) of Batesville; two brothers: William David Pendergrass (Neysa) of Forest City, Arkansas; John Pendergrass of Memphis; two sisters: Donna Hill (David) of Banner; Diane Brewer (Eddie) of Coffeeville; six grandchildren: William Aston, Rylee Aston, Dylan Aston, Noah Aston, Jacob Paterson, Sabrina Paterson.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; William Pendergrass and Patsy O'Dean Cofer; one brother, Jay Pendergrass; paternal grandmother, Eva Aubrey Pendergrass; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Gather Cofer.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 09, 2021 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service commemorating Deborah's life will take place on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Brown, Bro.
