Dennis Pettit

Dennis Ray Pettit , 81 of West Point, Mississippi died on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Clay County Medical Center in West Point, Mississippi.
Born Tuesday, December 11, 1934, he was the son of the late John J. Pettit and the late Cara Lee Moore Pettit. He was the
husband of the late Kim Pettit, also preceded by a son Douglas Ray Pettit.
Mr. Pettit served in The United States Army.
He was self employed and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Andy (Sherry) Pettit of Steen, MS, daughters, Donna (Aubrey) Blair of Cedar Bluff, MS and Denise (Gene)
Reid of Columbus, MS, step daughter Rosie (Jerry) Thompson of Columbus, MS. sister, Fanny Tapley of Pittsboro, MS.
Grandchildren, Brandon (Rosanna) Blair of Amory, MS. Leah (Jayson) Woodard of Nashville, TN., Dannie (Heather) Johnson
of Caledonia, MS., Kristen (David) Callahan of Ridgeland, MS., and Doug Pettit of Starkville, MS.and Magen Pratt of Steen, MS. Ten Great-grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Blair, Burt Brand, David Callahan, Dannie Johnson, Doug Pettit, John Teague. Honorary
Pallbearers are Bobby Erwine, Leroy Fair, Bud Henley, Edmund Miller, Therapy Staff at West Point N.M.M.C.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 16, 2016, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home,
