Don Laroy Williams,86, born on August 13, 1937, in Calhoun County Mississippi, passed away on June 4, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS, surrounded by his loving family. Don was a man deeply rooted in his community and devoted to his faith.
Don dedicated his life to farming, working tirelessly in the agriculture industry as a self-employed farmer. A man of integrity and hard work, he was known for his passion for tending to his crops and raising cattle. His commitment to his profession was a testament to his character.
Don was a valued member of Victory Baptist Church, where he shared his spiritual guidance and served as a Deacon. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him through both joyous and challenging times.
The late Don Laroy Williams is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Brenda Marler Williams, children Mike (Ann) Williams of Houlka, Chris (Judy) Williams of Houlka, Karla (Sidney) Skyles of Bruce, and Kelly (Dwayne) Ozbun of Houlka, as well as grandchildren Adam, Austin, Cade, Noah, Noel, McKenzie, and Erin, and nine great-grandchildren. His family represented his greatest source of pride and joy, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Delma Williams, mother, Trudie Williams, brother, Sam Williams, and a sister, Carolyn Murphree.
A public viewing in honor of Don will be held at Parker Memorial Funeral Home on June 5, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel of Bruce at 2:00 pm with Bro. Danny Kelley officiating. The burial ceremony will take place at Poplar Springs Cemetery. Jarrett Bennett, Cade Ozbun, Noah Ozbun, Jock Tunnell, Adam Williams and Austin Williams will serve as Pallbearers.
Don's commitment to his family, faith, and community will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. As we gather to honor his life, let us remember the legacy of hard work, love, and dedication that he leaves behind. Don Laroy Williams will always be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
