Donnie Gay Lafayette

Donnie G. Lafayette, 68, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 25, 2024.  He was born in Bruce, MS, on December 3, 1955.

Donnie was a trucker with Swift Trucking and had previously worked at Weyerhaeuser. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.  Donnie enjoyed the simple things of life such as watching TV, reading, fishing, taking care of his pets and enjoying time with family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Lafayette.

Donnie is survived by his daughter, Kasey Lafayette, of Calhoun City;  a son, Kalem Lafayette, of Calhoun City; mother Elouise McCormick Lafayette, of Bruce; and a sister, Trunda Gail Lafayette, of Bruce.

A memorial service honoring Donnie’s life will be Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 11:00A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jimmy Vance, officiating.
