Doris Hamilton

Doris Hamilton, 88, passed away on March 30, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Nursing Home in Calhoun City, MS. She was born on May 20, 1935 in Vardaman, MS, to Victor Harrell and Vera Ellen Harrell.

Doris was very dedicated member of Vardaman First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for forty two years. She was also a member of The Eastern Star. Doris was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family and church  family. Her smile and encouragement to everyone she came in contact with will be missed.

Those left to cherish Doris's memory are; son, Barry (Karen) Hamilton, of Water Valley,  daughter, Lindy (John Ed) Nichols of Vardaman, grandchildren, Brooke Monaghan, Jace (Avery) Hamilton, Karla (Johnny) Brown, Seven Great Grandchildren, and a brother Don (Lynn) Harrell of Vardaman.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Victor Harrell and Vera Ellen Harrell,  husband, Billy Bert Hamilton, and a brother, Bobby Gene Harrell.

A funeral service honoring Doris's life will be held on Monday April 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM in Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel of Vardaman with Bro. Whit Casey officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Johnny Brown, Brent Harrell, Don Harrell, Mike Harrell, Roy Harrell, David Holloway, and Jace Hamilton will serve as pallbearers carrying Doris to her final resting place in Hillcrest Cemetery
