Dorothy Nell Moore Wells

Brookhaven, MS-Dorothy Nell Moore Wells, 77, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born November 10, 1940 in Chickasaw County to the late parents of T. J. Brassfield and Florence Harris Brassfield. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lafayette County.  Dorothy was a homemaker and had previously worked for Wal Mart for over 23 years in the payroll department. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and following the Ole Miss Rebel’s and especially the football games.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gene Edward Wells, daughter, Judy Lynn Moore,  son, David Moore, brothers, John Brassfield, James Brassfield and Bill Brassfield.

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Gail Moore, Oxford; son, Gary (Sherene) Moore, Oxford; sisters , Geneva (Monroe) Galloway, Calhoun City, Ann (Larry) Tidwell, Taylor; care giver and cousin, Mary (Travis) Seale, Brookhaven; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Bruce at 6:00 P.M.. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till service time at 6:00 P.M.  Bro. Ken Hanks will be officiating.
