Dorsey "Pete" Tidmore, of Bruce, MS left this world peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 92 at his home in Bruce, Mississippi. Born on August 9, 1932, in Drew, Mississippi, Dorsey was known for his warm spirit and unwavering devotion to his family.
Pete, was a member of the Drew Baptist Church, found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid photographer, capturing moments that would become treasured memories for his loved ones. In addition to his passion for photography, he relished the adventures of fishing and hunting, often bringing his family along to create lasting bonds in the great outdoors.
As a retired salesman from Dixie Tobacco and Candy Company, Dorsey was respected by his peers and known for his hard work and dedication. Yet, his true legacy lies in the love and commitment he showed to his family. Pete always put his loved ones first, prioritizing their happiness and well-being above all else.
Dorsey is survived by his devoted wife, Berdie Mae James Tidmore, and his beloved daughter, Therese Dawn Tidmore both of Bruce, MS. Their lives will forever bear the imprint of his love and guidance.
Dorsey "Pete" was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Macon Tidmore, and Lizzie Ray Williams Tidmore.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday March 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Brad Corban officiating. Friends, family, and all whose lives Pete touched are invited to come together to celebrate his life and share in the memories of a remarkable man who brought light and love to those around him.
