Douglas "Sonny" Glenn Saxon

Sonny Saxon, 53 passed away on May 7, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Born in Memphis, TN. on September 2,1962

He loved being a truck driver for over thirty years. Sonny enjoyed spending time with his family, taking trips with his family in the 18 wheeler, watching Nascar, wrestling, and football.
He is survived by his wife Tina Louise Giompolettie Saxon of twenty seven years, His children Douglas G. Saxon, III and Autum Gale Saxon both of Pontotoc, MS. His Mother Pearlene Hughes Saxon, of Bruce, MS. a sister Anita Saxon Blackwelder and husband Bom, of Bruce, MS. and a Nephew Dusty B. Blackwelder of Bruce, MS. brother Eli G. Saxon of Pontotoc, MS. and stepmother, Hollie G. Saxon of Pontotoc, MS.
He was proceeded in death by his father Douglas Glenn Saxon, Sr. Brother Ronnie G. Saxon and his wife Millie Saxon, grandparents, Odis G. Saxon, Lucile Wages Saxon, Millard and Louis Hughes.
A Funeral service will be held Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Bruce, MS at 2:00 with Bro. Kevin Chrestman officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be: Wally Bernard, Dusty Blackwelder, Buddy Durall, Timmy Giompoletti, Tony Giopoletti, and Carlton Leachman.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: B.J. Farmer, Joe Farmer, Stevie Hughes, Jason Mooney, and Eli Saxon.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS.
