Earline Beckett Collins, 92, of Bruce, departed from this life on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Bruce Community Living Center in Bruce, MS. She was born on November 28, 1929 in Quitman, MS to the late Cullen C. Beckett and Martha Jane Cook Beckett.
Earline spent many seasons of life working at Kellwood for 49 years. Earline worked as a sewing room supervisor and a supervisor over new garments and working with quality and production. She also trained new operators during her time at Kellwood. Sewing was taught to Earline at a young age by her mother learning all types of sewing and needle work. She was a member of Bruce First Baptist Church and enjoyed her ladies Sunday School Class.
She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence: son, Tommy (Frances) Collins of Calhoun City, MS; daughter-in-law, Connie W. Collins of Oxford, MS; two granddaughters: Susan (Brad) Smith of Raymond, MS; Macy (Tracy) Longest of RavenDale, WA; Katie (Ben) Clough of Pensacola, FL; five grandsons: Jonathan (Nicole) Collins of Rocheport, MO; Matthew Collins of Calhoun City, MS; Charlie Allen of Bruce, MS; Matthew (Kayla) Allen of Oxford, MS; Jacob Allen of Oxford, MS; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bayne Collins; parents, Cullen C. Beckett and Martha Jane Cook Beckett; son, Paul Wayne Collins; two brothers: Robert Beckett and Wilbern Beckett; two sisters: Opel Beckett and Bobbie Worsham.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service celebrating her life will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 2:30 PM, with Bro. Darrell Logan and Bro. Ryan Reed officiating. Charlie Allen, Jacob Allen, Matt Allen, Jonathan Collins, Matthew Collins, Ben Clough, and Brad Smith will carry Earline to rest in Bruce Cemetery. Jerry Beckett, Jim Beckett, Hugh Mitchell Cannon, James Drake, Jerry Ellison, Paul Hendrix, Mike Nix, Robert Edward Oakley, and Jan Shelton will serve as honorary pallbearers.
