Edna Earl Ingram Collins, 92, of Bruce, passed away on March 19, 2022, at her daughter's home in Fayette, AL.
Edna was born on April 28, 1929, in Alva, MS, one of seven children to Jennings Bryan Ingram and Mattie Irene Pyron Ingram. She was married to Brooks Collins for 62 years until his death in 2016 and they had 2 children.
Together with her husband they owned Collins Saw Shop. Edna was a member of First Baptist Church Bruce where she spent many years serving in the church nursery. She also loved to cook and work in her garden. She spent many hours sewing, crocheting, and doing embroidery.
Edna is survived by her daughter Judy Collins Bartholomew of Fayette, AL; grandchildren: Brooke (Will) Finney of Tuscaloosa, AL; and Lacie (Matt) Junkin of Fayette, AL; great-grandchildren: Andi Moore, Mattie Junkin, and Cole Junkin; one sister Faye Morris of Bruce, MS; and a brother in law Larry (Mam) Collins of Bruce, MS.
Edna is preceded in death by her husband Brooks Collins; her parents Jennings and Mattie Ingram; son Carlton Collins; sisters: Odein Daniel, Annie Helen McCostlin, and Mary Bryan Ingram; brothers: Argolis Ingram and Arnold Ingram; and son-in-law Ed Bartholomew.
Visitation for Edna Collins will be on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Bruce Cemetery with Bro. Darrell Logan and Dr. Scott Davis officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jarrad Collins, Jerry Dunn, Thomas Dunn, Will Finney, Sam Hamblin, Jim McCostlin, Lee Morris, and Matt Junkin. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Collins, Dale Morgan, and Bobby Stribling.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers Faye Savage, Patty Earnest, Kim Stepp, and Linda Gray who loved her and helped take care of her.
