Edna Harville

Edna Wayne Burt Harville went home to Jesus on February 11, 2022, at the age of 83.

Edna was born to Edwin Burt and Edith Patterson Burt on October 9, 1938, in Bruce, Mississippi. Edna married Johnnie Harville on August 3, 1956 and went on to have three children: Judith, John, and Donald. Edna traveled around the U.S. and to Germany following Johnnie as a military wife. When Johnnie retired from the Army in 1981 they moved back to Mississippi to be close to family.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Edna also loved to travel, going to church, and being with her family and friends. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God and was a member of the Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church in Houlka, Mississippi.

Edna joins her husband, Johnnie, her parents, and her sisters and brother in Heaven. She is survived by her daughter Judy Harville-Wilson and her husband Randall, Bruce Mississippi; her sons John Harville and his wife, Sue, Laconia, New Hampshire; and Donald Harville, Houlka, Mississippi; four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service celebrating Edna’s life will take place on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Sam Yarbrough officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church, Houlka, Mississippi.
