Edward Stone

Edward Lamar Stone Jr., often called Stone, departed this life for his eternal life on September 10, 2021. He was 61 years old. Edward was born in Memphis Tennessee on January 22, 1960, to the late Edward Lamar Stone Sr. and Peggy Stone.  Edward spent over 30 years in Bruce and he became one of the most kindhearted, loving men known to ever run the streets of Bruce. Edward enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his wife and family. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bruce. Edward was an avid motorcycle rider, loved to target practice and show off his new guns. He retired after 21 years of driving a truck for Ashley Furniture where he achieved many safety awards and was a part of the Million Miles club.

Edward is survived by his loving wife Vickie Tutor Stone of Bruce, MS; daughters Becky (Marc) Graham of Ecru, MS and Denise (Bruce) Mize of Pontotoc, MS; grandchildren: Bradley (Cody) Forman of Pontotoc, MS, Brittany (AJ) Boutwell of Charleston, MS, Jordan Mize of Columbus, MS, and Trey (Gabby) Graham of Pontotoc, MS; five great-grandchildren: Langley, Remi, Grayson, Hazley, and Ruby. He also leaves behind many extended family members that he loved and cherished dearly.

Visitation for Edward will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home chapel in Bruce with Bro. Wayne Cobb and Bro. Bobby Cobb officiating. A private family burial will follow at Graham Family Cemetery in Ecru, MS. Chris Cobb, Scott Cobb, Bobby Duke, Kemont Thompson, Larry Grant, and Billy Joe White will carry Edward to his final resting place.
