Elton Leon Lee

Elton Leon “Pop” Lee, 70, passed this earthly life Thursday, August 9, 2018. He was born October 23, 1947 in Bruce to the late parents of Elton Lee and Myrtle Logan Lee.  Leon was a past employee of Memphis Hardwood and Flooring and Weyerhaeuser.  He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.  Leon was a devoted father and grandfather and he was that special “Pop” to his grandchildren.  Leon was a simple man who loved nature and the outdoor living and especially his horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Jimmie Nell McCormick and Jo McCormick.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Barry Lee (Laura), Water Valley, Landon Lee ( Jennie), Gilbert, AZ, Lance Lee (Lauren Byrd), Oxford; daughter, Tammy Nix (Jeff), Oxford; brother, Billy Lee, Bruce; sisters, Barbara Turner, Bruce, Ann McKibben, Bruce; grandchildren, Chipper Nix, Colton Lee, Julie Lee, Lyles Lee, Layton Lee, Weathers Lee, Addie Lee and Silas Lee.

Funeral service and visitation will be Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Will Overstreet will be officiating in the service.  Burial will be in Rocky Mount Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andy Fortner, Corey Fortner, Bucky Lee, Chad Lee, Colton Lee and Jeff Lee.
