Elton Ray Logan

Elton Ray Logan, 87, of Vardaman departed from this life on Wednesday, January 04, 2023, at his home in Vardaman, MS. He was born on April 18, 1935 in Calhoun County to the late Allen C. Logan and Ruthie Tallent Logan.

Elton Ray spent many seasons of life as a manager and then later gained the position of Vice President at Furniture Wood in Vardaman. In his spare time he could be found hunting, fishing, or sitting in his recliner. Elton was a member of First Baptist Church Vardaman. Although Elton Ray has departed from our lives, his treasured memory will hold a special place in the hearts of his friends and loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Jennings Logan of Vardaman, MS; sister, Obera Moore of Vardaman, MS.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen C. Logan and Ruthie Tallent Logan; son, Donald Ray Logan; brother, Homer Allen Logan.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 06, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman. The funeral service honoring Elton's life will take place on Saturday, January 07, 2023, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church Vardaman with Bro. Jon Haimes officiating. Don Dugard, Bryan Hopper, Matthew Hopper, Duane Jennings, John Jennings, Wesley McGregor, Jeremy Sumrall, Jackson Walters, Kele Walters, and Kevin Walters will carry Elton Ray to rest in New Liberty Cemetery. Logan Grumbach, David Hansen, Carter Harris, Phillip Hopper, Walker Hopper, Billy Ray Jennings, Caleb Walters, Harrison Walters, Kaid Walters, and Will Russell will serve as honorary pallbearers.
