Ernestine “Mama Teen” Mize Chrestman, 96, united with her loved ones in heaven on April 30, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Nursing Home, Calhoun City after a lengthy illness. She was born September 10, 1926, to the late Jessie Marion Mize and Maggie Ree Morris Mize.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bruce First Baptist Church. She loved nature, flowers, and working in her yard. She loved bird watching, watching the squirrels play, and especially her house cat. Mama Teen was a people person and truly enjoyed her family and friends. Her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Rex Wilburn Snyder and Clifton Leodis Chrestman; sister, Elizabeth Phillips and brothers: J. R. Mize and Ed Mize.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Shirley (Randy) Schmitz, Bruce; son, Tony Rex Snyder, Bower, TX; grandchildren, Gary (Lisa) Schmitz, Steve Schmitz, Deana (Joey) Ferguson, Rexanne (Jason) Collins, Vicki (Joey) Howe and Anthony Wayne Snyder; great grandchildren, Aubrey Schmitz, Amber Jernigan, Marlie Marter, McKenzie Marter, Jake Ferguson, Jase Ferguson, Heather McCullough, Steven Davis, Ashley Davis, Kayle Howe, Paige Howe and 6 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M. at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Burial will follow in Bruce Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Jernigan, McKenzie Marter, Aubrey Schmitz, Gary Schmitz, Steve Schmitz, and Johnny Williams.
