Essie Tutor Voyles

Essie Cindy Tutor Voyles, 71, of Vardaman passed from this life on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Diversicare of Eupora. Born on July 27, 1949, in Vardaman, Mississippi, Essie was a daughter to the late Bobby Lee Tutor and Audie Beatrice Kincade Tutor.

Essie was a woman who loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed the presence of her grandchildren. When Essie was not loving on her family, she could be found hard at work digging potatoes. This one-of-a-kind lady will be deeply missed by those who loved her dearly.

Essie is survived by one son Jeff Tutor of Calhoun City; five brothers: Thomas Tutor of Houlka,          Bobby Tutor of Houlka, Jimmy Tutor of Houlka, Chester Tutor of Houlka, and James (Lou) Tutor of Pontotoc; two sisters: Beatrice Bailey of Vardaman, and Maggie (Joe) Haire of Vardaman; three grandchildren:  Ethan Tutor of Calhoun City, Zachary Tutor of Calhoun City, and Audrey McNeece of Vardaman.

Essie was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Voyles, parents Bobby Lee Tutor and Audie Beatrice Kincade Tutor, and two brothers George Tutor, and Harrison Tutor.

The graveside service remembering Essie’s life will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020, in Poplar Springs Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Bro. Robert Ear Alexander officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made toward the funeral expenses.
