Euel Parker, Jr.

Euel Parker Jr., 79, of Calhoun City passed from this life at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on March 18,  2021. Born on April 23, 1942, in Calhoun City, he was a son to the late Euel Man Parker and Lorene Gibson Parker.

Junior married his soul mate, Carol Faye Pendley, on November 23, 1963. The couple spent over fifty seven memory filled years together. He spent many seasons of his life operating Parker’s Fireworks and a wrecker service. Junior enjoyed traveling and proudly proclaimed he had been to forty nine of the fifty states in America. He found leisure in watching NASCAR races and collecting die cast model cars. Junior was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.

He leaves behind an expansive family to continue walking down the path of life: wife Carol Faye Parker of Calhoun City; one son Terry Parker of Calhoun City; one daughter Sherry (Sean) Mulkey of Vardaman; two brothers: Billy (Wanda) Parker of Calhoun City, and Bobby Parker of Calhoun City; three grandchildren: Tesha Hailey, Mikey Mulkey, and Santana Parker; three great grandchildren: Addi Hailey, Kipper Hailey, and Kaden Hailey

Junior was preceded in death by his parents Euel Man Parker and Lorene Gibson Parker; one brother John Parker; four nephews: John W Parker, Darrell Parker, Jeremy Keith Parker and Jake Parker.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at New Liberty Baptist Church from 2:00 to 3:00PM. The funeral service will take place at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at New Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Pete Gregory officiating. Charles Morrow, Johnny Morrow, Rickey Parker, Heath Parker, Josh Parker, and Damon Parker will carry Euel to rest in New Liberty Cemetery.
