Eunice Kathleen Swanson, 82 of Houlka, Mississippi died on Friday, December 25, 2015, at Pontotoc Health and Rehab in Pontotoc, Mississippi.
Born Wednesday, November 29, 1933 in Bruce, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Sammy Smith and the late Lorene Roane Smith. She was the wife of the late Royce Swanson.
She was a devoted homemaker and loving mother.
She was a member of Bruce Church of Christ in Bruce, MS..
Surviving are daughters, Natalie Akers and husband Rodney of Pontotoc, MS, Mitzi Ward and husband Brad of Pontotoc, MS, and Myra Sullivan of Bruce, MS daughter in law, Lana Swanson of Houlka, MS, sister, Billie Fortas of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Cheyenne Akers, Lathe Ward, Layla Kathleen Ward, Tonya Wilburn, and Dana Parker, 3 great grand children.
She was preceeded in death by a son, Gerald Swanson, a brother, Jimmy Smith, and a Grandchild, Dan Hardin.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday with two hours visitation prior to the service at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Rocky Mount Cemetery, Pittsboro, MS.
Pallbearers will be: Rodney Akers, Mickey Hardin, Tanner McCollum, Jeff Sullivan, Earl Swanson, Brad Ward, Lathe Ward, and Jerry Wilburn.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
