Frances Mondell Chrestman

Frances Holder Chrestman, 95 of Vardaman, passed from this life on Wednesday July 15, 2020, at Floyd Dyer Nursing Home in Houston. Born on March 24, 1925, Frances was a daughter to the late Everett Max Holder and Rosie Collums Holder.

Frances, a skilled seamstress, used her skill set at Dixie Land Furniture and Franklin Furniture to produce quality products of comfort. With her experience, Frances found joy in sewing special creations. She adored the laborious task of working in her yard; especially tending to her beloved flowers. Frances had a special place in her heart for her family and delighted in caring for them. Frances knew the Lord and His promise of eternal life and worshipped when she was able at New Hope Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories are son, Jessie Chrestman (Glenda) of Vardaman, Mississippi,  daughters: Kay Sanders (George) of Bay Springs, Mississippi, Susie Alexander (Kenneth) of Vardaman, Mississippi,  and Peggy Anderson (Mike) of Bay Springs, Mississippi,  seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Hubert Holder of Vardaman; sister, Glenda Caulder (George) of Calhoun City.

Frances was preceded in death by husband, Jess W “Cy” Chrestman; parents, Everett Max Holder and Rosie Collums Holder; daughter, Ruby Dell Chrestman; brothers: James Holder, Lester Holder, Junior Holder, Cecil Holder, Gerald Holder; sisters: Inez Schwalenberg, Ruby Dell Holder.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, 2020, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Vardaman from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. A graveside service remembering Frances’ life will take place on Friday, July 17, 2020, in the Elzey Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Cherry and Bro. Mike Anderson officiating.  Haden Alexander, Oakley Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Brad Anderson, Justin Anderson, James Chrestman, Jay Chrestman, and Jordan Chrestman will serve as pallbearers.
