Gary Lee Aldridge, 76, of Olive Branch passed away from this life and met his Lord and Savior on January 9, 2022. He was born February 16, 1945 in Calhoun City, Mississippi to John Earl and Lois Alred Aldridge. He was a member of the Nazarene Church of Calhoun City.

He graduated from Calhoun City High School in 1962, joined the Air Force on July 4, 1963 in Nashville, Tennessee. He faithfully served his country for many years before becoming a Vietnam Veteran. He was retired after a long career in transportation, Lee American/East Texas Motor Freight and thirty years with Consolidated Freightways. He served as secretary and treasurer of Teamsters Union #667. Gary was an Active Shriner and Mason; he served as the past Worshipful Master of the Byhalia Masonic Lodge #115 in Byhalia, Mississippi. He was a jack of all trades, carpentry, buying and flipping houses long before the term was popular. He was mechanically inclined, he could fix almost anything. Gunsmithing was high on his list of favorites. He loved and enjoyed repairing firearms for friends and family. Driving his farm tractor, cutting grass and planting a garden gave him joy. In the later years of retirement he enjoyed electronics and ancestral research.

He loved his family, friends, and grandchildren; his great grandson was the joy and light of his life.

He loved his wife Linda Peden Aldridge of Fifty-Six years; his son John Gary Aldridge (Angela); grandson, Jonathan Aldridge; granddaughter, Brittany Aldridge Carroll (Logan); great grandson, Denver Scott Carroll; one niece, Sherry Aldridge Williams (Steve).

He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Peden Aldridge; son, Brian Keith Aldridge; parents, John Earl and Lois Alred Aldridge; brother Owen Lee Aldridge; sister, Maudie Frances Aldridge Adkins.
