Gary Lynn Brown, 74, departed from this life on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Baptist Calhoun Nursing Home in Calhoun City. He was born on January 19, 1949, in Bruce, to the late L.Q. Brown and Grace Sartin Scarbrough.

Gary was a factory worker and he enjoyed spending his days working. In his spare time, Gary could be found sitting on the square in Bruce and talking to people. He was a member of Mt. Comfort Baptist Church.

He leaves behind two brothers: Quay Brown of Bruce; Charles "Charlie" Brown of Pocahontas, TN; nephew, Jason Brown of Hernando.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, L.Q. Brown and Grace Sartin Scarbrough.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 10:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The graveside service honoring Gary's life will take place on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, immediately following the visitation in Bruce Cemetery with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating.

The Staff of Parker Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Brown family as they begin this new season of life. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
