Geneva Denley Coleman,74, of Bruce passed from this life on July 19, 2021 at her home. Born on the fall day of October 23, 1946 in Calhoun City, She was a daughter to the late George Pascal Denley and Lina Cantrell Denley.
Geneva spent many year of marital bliss with her loving husband James William Coleman. She spent twenty- three years working for the Kellwood Company before changing careers and becoming a nurse. After graduating from school she began a journey with the Calhoun City Nursing Home as a Licensed Practical Nurse that lasted for over twenty years. In her spare time, Geneva loved striking out to travel, especially when going on camping trips. She had strong presence on social media, using Facebook to keep with her friends and family. With the skills and ability to cook she knew how to throw all the elements of a meal together not only at home but also at church functions. Above all Geneva cherished time spent with her family. Geneva did not simply depart from this life; she held the cure to death in her soul, an active relationship with her Savior worshiping Him at Antioch Baptist Church.
She leaves behind an expansive family to continue walking down the path of life; husband, James William Coleman; three daughters: Annette( James Roy) Haire of Bruce; Camille (Mark) Gober of Bruce; Sonia Coleman of Memphis, Tennessee; one son, Jeff (Karen) Miller of Cordova, Tennessee; nine grandchildren: Austin (Eryn) Miller, Hannah Miller, Sam Miller. Mark Richard Logan (Kayla) Jr, Deshonda (Jeremy) Yarbrough, Sean Gober, B.J Coleman, Brittney Coleman Williams, Benji (Keri) Haire, and Taylor Haire; Twenty Three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Pascal Denley and Lina Cantrell Denley; two step sons, Billy Joe Coleman Sr, and Jimmy Wade Coleman; one daughter, Connie Miller Logan; three brothers, George Denley, Eddie Denley and James Roy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce. The funeral service remembering Geneva's life will take place on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce with Bro. Eric Payne officiating. Joe Cowsert, Charley Hill, Cody Hill, Elijah Nix, and Tommy Roane will carry her to rest in Memory Memorial Garden. Joey Daniels, Glenn Lenard, Larry Stark, and Jimmy Thomas will serve as honorary pallbearers.
