George Wesley Nix

George Wesley Nix, 76, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Regional One Medical Center, Memphis, Tennessee from complications as a result of a vehicle accident.  He was born July 23, 1941, to the late parents of Bailey and Louise Hamilton Nix.  He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and the Bruce Masonic Lodge.  George was a retired crane operator for Weyerhaeuser Company for over twenty five years.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife; Charlsey Terry Nix, a brother; Leslie Joe Nix and his parents.

Those left to honor George's memory include his daughter; Sandra "Terry" Wilmeth, Bruce, MS; three sons, Paul 'Rhonda Nix, Bruce, MS, Jeff "Tammy" Nix, Water Valley, MS, Chris "Heather" Nix, Pittsboro, MS, two sisters; Annette Ivy, Derma, MS, Nancy Lambert, Calhoun City, MS,  two brothers; Frank "Dessie" Nix, Calhoun City, MS, David Nix, Calhoun City, MS, five grandchildren; Chipper Nix, Bailey Nix, Elijah Nix, Bryan Nix,  Steven Kelly, one great grandchild; Tyler Kelly.

Visitation will be Monday, July 31, 2017 from 12:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. and the service time to be at 2:00P.M., at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Memory Memorial Garden. Bro. Darrell Logan will be officiating and those serving as pallbearers are Andy Fortner, Landon Lee, Lance Lee, Bailey Nix, Bryan Nix, Chipper Nix, Elijah Nix and Terry Wilmeth.
