Gerald Wayne Collins

Gerald Wayne Collins, 52, departed from this life on February 16, 2020, at his home in Oldtown. Born in Vardaman on October 26, 1967, Gerald was the son of J.W. Collins and Etta Fay Murphy Collins.

Gerald, a family man, loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He treasured every memory and moment spent with his loved ones. Gerald was a man that pursued his talents in the construction industry. Gerald found peace and joy crafting woodworking projects.

Gerald is survived by his loving family: mother, Etta Fay Murphy Collins, son, Jacob (Kyrsten) Collins,  brothers, Johnny Collins, Ray (Mary) Collins , Shelby (Gwen) Collins, Robert (Susan) Collins, Athen (Connie) Collins, sisters, Juanita (Ronnie) Folks, Deloris (Kenneth) Kellum, and grandchildren Everly Collins, Lynden Collins,  and Marleigh Collins.

He was preceded in death by his father J.W. Collins, sister, Loretta Pettit, paternal grandparents Jim and Wille B. Collins, maternal grandparents Nulan S. and Mary E. Murphy, and niece Shelly White.

Gerald will lie in repose from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home of Bruce for friends and family to pay their respects. A celebration of life will take begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Bro. David Haggerty and Bro. Jerry Wilson will officiate the service. James Collins, Shelby Collins Jr., Dewayne Lester, Johnathan Stricklin, Aaron Vanlandingham, and Ricky Vanlandingham will serve as pallbearers.
