Glen White

Calhoun City, MS-Glen White, 80, passed away Tuesday October 24, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. He was born July 15, 1937 in Derma, MS. to the late parents of Charles Radford White and Daisy Earline Hardin White. Glen worked in the civil and industrial construction and owner of Hughes-White Contracting of Crosby, TX. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Glen enjoyed Ole Miss Football and grilling for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Fred White.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Jean Johnson White, Calhoun City, MS.; a son, Michael Glen White “Rachel”, Crosby TX; a step son, Keith Johnson "Vivian”, Calhoun City, MS; two daughters, Tina White Hughes, Coffeeville, MS and Debbie White, Batesville, MS; a step daughter, Myra Anglin “Jim”, Bruce, MS;  a twin sister, Glenda Funderburg “Billy”, Calhoun City, MS; a brother, David White “Barbara”, Oxford, MS; four grandchildren, Grant Hughes “Jennifer”, Andrea Collins “Ben”, April Cronan “Kyle”, Jonathan Glen White “Nichole”; four step grandchildren, Kalem Threadgill “Crystal”, Bethany Prestage “Jarrett”, Brian Johnson and Stephanie Prestage “Casey” and sixteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, Bruce, MS. from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday October 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service time. Bro. Dwight Brown and Bro. Ken Strickland will be officiating in the service. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be: Ben Collins, Grant Hughes, Keith Johnson, Charlie Overby, Brad Smith, Calvin White, Jonathan White, and Steve White.
