Glenn Wesson Crocker, Jr., 82, passed away on November 10, 2024, at his home in Bruce, MS. He was the son of the late Glenn Wesson Crocker and Lavonia Corinne Bryant Crocker.
Glenn was a graduate of Bruce High School and the University of Mississippi with a master's degree in music. He spent most of his career as a band director throughout the state of Mississippi. Upon his retirement he found a new career as a computer technician working at Columbus Air Force Base and in other government agencies. When not working Glenn loved Ballroom Dancing and was a dance instructor. He also loved to listen to Big Band Music and sing using his great tenor voice. Glenn was a fan of Ole Miss sports especially football. He was a student of History, Literature, and Music. He supported many charities locally and worldwide. Glenn felt the calling to be a minister to God's children at a early age in life and was ordained as a minister. He was a member of First Baptist Church Bruce. He was very fond of his cat Bella.
Glenn is survived by his sisters Margaret Ann (Joe) Young, of Brandon, FL, and Betty Marie (Houston) Magee, of Byhalia, MS; special friend Ginger Pinks, of Memphis, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Corrine Crocker and brother Harold Ray Crocker.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating.
