Grace L. Scarbrough of Bruce passed away on Monday, November 27, 2018 at Baptist Nursing Home in Calhoun City, MS. Born on November 29, 1922 to Floyd Sartin and Lona Logan Sartin in Calhoun County, MS, Grace passes 2 days before her 96th birthday. She was the last survivor of many brothers and sisters.
Grace was retired, having worked at Kellwood Company. A member of Mt. Comfort Baptist Church, she was also active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She will be missed by both family and friends after a journey through life sharing love and affection with those close to her. She will be missed by all.
Grace leaves behind sons, Quay Brown of Bruce, Gary Brown of Bruce, and Charlie (Sovia) Brown of Southaven; 3 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; and many Great-Great Grandchildren.
There will be a visitation with the family on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Immediately following visitation, Grace will be laid to rest in Bruce City Cemetery. Graveside services and prayers will be led by Brother Robert Earl Alexander.
In addition to her Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Grace was preceded in death by husband, L.Q. Brown and husband, Robert Scarbrough,
Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce is honored to be entrusted in helping the family to make arrangements honoring Grace's life.
