Grady Ruble Spencer, 89 of Vardaman, Mississippi died on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Calhoun Health Services Nursing
Home in Calhoun City, Mississippi.
Born Saturday, September 11, 1926 in Houston, Mississippi, he was the son of the late William and the late Rebecca Fleming Spencer.
He was retired from Vardaman Schools and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Survived by his wife of 53 years Willie Ree Mitchell Spencer, son's James David Long and wife Juliette of Vardaman, MS and Billy Lon Spencer and wife Jeannette of Hickory, MS, daughter, Geraldine Alford, sister, Mary Francis McCluney of Houston, MS; grandchildren, Anna Fleming, Bubba Fleming, Matt Long, Cody Long, Joel Spencer, Dakota Alford, and Erin Spencer, 6 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers, George William Spencer and Carl R. Spencer, sister, Anna L. Spencer.
A Funeral service will be at 4:00 PM on Monday at New Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Harmon officiating. Interment
will be in New Liberty Cemetery, Vardaman, MS.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at New Liberty Baptist Church in
Vardaman, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Fleming, Charlie Foster, Jamie Hill, Spencer Hill, Cody Long, Matt Long, and Billy Parker.
