Granville Hudson

Granville Lynn Hudson, of Vardaman, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on February 9, 2025, in Floy Dyer Manor of Houston, MS. Born in Vardaman, Mississippi on February 3, 1933, to the late Jonas Hudson and Money Herring Hudson.

Granville had a passion for walking the streets of Vardaman, where he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He could often be found at the local Post Office, sharing stories and laughter with friends and neighbors. Granville held a special bond with his longtime caregiver, John Jasper Adams, with whom he shared countless afternoons at Peoples Drug Store, exchanging greetings and catching up on the happenings of the day.

Granville is survived by his beloved sister, Scottie Spencer of Billings, MT, and caregiver, Charles (Lisa) Mahan of Vardaman.

A public viewing for Granville will be held on February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home. Following the viewing, a funeral service will take place in the chapel at Parker Memorial Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander officiating. Granville's final resting place will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Vardaman, Mississippi, where he will be laid to rest.

Granville was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Hudson,  father, Jonas Hudson, mother, Money Herring Hudson and long time caregiver, John Jasper Adams.
