Harold Crawford Baker, 84, of Southaven departed from this life on Friday, August 04,2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven. He was born on November 18, 1938 in Calhoun County to the late Lee Troy Baker and Leslie Sipes.
Harold served his country by serving in the United States Navy for 10 years and in the Mississippi National Guard for 18 years. He married his wife, Bonnie Sue Dunn on June 08, 1963. After service Harold drove a truck for Ryder. In his spare time, Harold enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, dirt bikes, camping, and most of all his family. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends. Harold attended Old Field church.
He leaves behind his wife, Bonnie Sue Dunn Baker of Southaven; daughter, Lena (Michael) Hill of Southaven; son, James Troy (Patricia) of Horn Lake; two sisters: Betty Sue Turner of Southaven; Carrie Jo Cumberland of Calhoun City; brother, Robert Baker of Olive Branch; seven grandchildren: David Justus, Jonathan Justus, Phillip Justus, Emily Justus, Britteny Baker, Alecia Bowles, and Amber Williams. He also leaves behind 12 great grandchildren.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Lola Mae Hallum, Nola Faye Mabry, Lanelle White, and Gail Lester; brothers: Paul and James William Baker; great grandchild, Layla.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 08, 2023, from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service honoring Harold's life will take place on Tuesday, August 08, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Craig McCormick and Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery
