Helen Newman, 83 of Greenville, Mississippi died on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at her residence in Greenville,
Mississippi.
Born Saturday, April 16, 1932 in Greenville, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. Davis and the late
Hazel Gorman Davis. She was the wife of the late Lee A. Newman.
She was a retired healthcare worker and member of Lake Washington Baptist Church.
Surviving are son, Lee (Paula) Newman of Bruce, MS, daughters, Emily Newman of Greenville, MS and Delores
(JD) Darnell of Glen Allen, MS, brother, Terry O. (Harriett) Davis of Hitchcock, TX. Grandchildren, Lee and Melissa
Newman of Brandon, MS., Casey and Steve Megow of Brentwood, TN., Will and Paige Tolliver of Cleveland, MS.,
Jason and Diana Tolliver of Greenville, MS., Johnny and Emily Darnell of Calacali, Ecuador, and Davis and Emily
Darnell of Rolling Fork, MS. Nine great-grandchildren and numerous niece and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Harry L. Davis and William E. Davis, sister, Barbara Nimmons.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with the Bro. Jimmy McLendon
officiating. Interment will be in Turkey Creek Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Lee Newman, III., Will Tolliver, Jason Tolliver, Johnny Darnell, Davis Darnell and Steve Megow.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Turkey Creek Baptist
Church, Mississippi.
