Homer Allen Logan, 74, passed this earthly life on February 27, 2019 at N.M.M.C., Tupelo after an extended illness. He was born August 26, 1944 to the late parents of Allen Cleve Logan and Ruthie Tallent Logan. Homer was a deacon and member of New Liberty Baptist Church. He retired with Natchez Trace Electric Power Association as a lineman. Homer used his electrical talents by helping others by wiring their homes and fixing electrical problems they might have. He enjoyed the company of his friends being a member of The Lunch Club that typically met at Nancy’s Café.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wanda Joy Murphree Logan and a daughter, Anita Joy Logan.
He is survived by a daughter, Tammie (Dr. David) Grumbach, Myrtle, MS; sister, Obera (Lee) Moore, Vardaman, MS; brother, Elton Ray (Annetta) Logan, Vardaman, MS; grandson, Logan (Christina) Grumbach, Athens, AL.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home In Bruce from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, March 1, 2019 at New Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Harmon and Dr. David Grumbach officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service Friday. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dr. David Grumbach, Logan Grumbach, Bryant Jenks, Johnny Kakalas, Paul Lowe, Carl Ray Mooneyham, Mike O 'Bannon and Billy Parker.
