Ira Alfred Holland

Ira Alfred Holland, 87 of Bruce, Mississippi died on September 6, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo of a brief illness. He was born February 6, 1938, in Bruce to the late Ira J. Holland and Lyna Pearl McLaughlin Holland.

Alfred was a Graduate of Bruce High School class of 1956.  He also served in the Mississippi National Guard for several years.  He attended Mississippi State University. Alfred was a farmer and landowner and worked for the Calhoun County Maintenance Department for awhile before retirement.  He was a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.

Alfred was a good neighbor, friend and a simple man who loved his homestead and his surroundings. He always treasured his cousins that was left behind speaking with pride about each one of them.

He was survived by numerous cousins.

Graveside service will be Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Mt. Comfort Cemetery beginning at 2:00P.M. with Bro. Craig McCormick officiating.
