Ivy June Estes

Jonesboro, AR-Ivy June Cost Estes, 80, passed this life on November 21, 2017 at St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro.  She was born June 6, 1937 in Bruce, Mississippi to the late parents of Antone Truett Cost and Margie Marie Morgan Cost.  She was a secretary and bookkeeper for Helena Water Company in Helena, AR until her retirement.  Ivy was a graduate of Ellard High School Class of 1955 where she was class valedictorian. She was a faithful member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas and past President of the Junior Auxiliary in Helena, Arkansas.

Those that went to be with the lord before her passing are her parents, a husband, J.E. Estes, two brothers, Raymond Lee Cost and Dennis Everett Cost.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cynthia Abel “Robert”, Jonesboro, AR, and Jennifer Smith “Robert”, Jonesboro, AR; a son, Bill Fitzhugh, Jonesboro, AR; sisters, Eleanor Cost Warnick, Union, MS, Rosa Cost Tyler “Gerald”, Norcross, GA. brothers, Allen Cost “Jerrie”, Oakland, TN. and David Cost “Diane”, Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Rachel Abel, Shelby Abel Moran, Camryn Smith and Caleb Smith, and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce with Bro. Jerry Parker officiating.  Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery in Bruce.
