James "Buddy" Davis

James Mardie Davis, 87 of Oakland, Mississippi went to his heavenly home on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Maplewood
Rehabilitation in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, April 30, 1929 in Bruce, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Mardie Davis and the late Joyce Gordon
Davis. He was the husband of Thelma York  Davis.
He was retired form the Memphis Transit Authority.
He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughter, Nylene (Bob)  Riley of Jackson, TN, sister, Robbie Mullins of Bruce, MS;  grand children, Audra
Hines, April Riley, Stacy Ferris, Jamie Simper, and Will Riley.
He was predeceased by son, Randy Davis, daughter, Judy VanCanneyt, sister, Frances Miller.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with  Bro. Jimmy Hood officiating.
Interment will be in Bruce Cemetery, Bruce, MS.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ben Barrett, Dwayne Dean, Walter Fuquay, Al Mullins, Sam Mullins, Lee Moore, Bob Riley,
and Richard Ross.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476
hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
