James Larry Davis

James Larry Davis, 77, of Water Valley, MS, departed from this life on March 27, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born on November 04, 1947, in Banner, MS, to the late James Ottis Davis and Evyonne Taylor Davis.

He worked for Whirlpool Manufacturing for 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and squirrel hunting in his spare time. James Larry enjoyed spending time with his special friend, Mildred Avant. He was a member of the Water Valley Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Drivers Flat Baptist Church.

James Larry leaves behind his son, Brian (Rosalie) Davis of Oxford; two daughters: Sheila Davis (James Bell) of Banner; Shannon Nicole Flemons of Banner; three sisters: Phyllis Goodman of Abbeville; Marsha (William) Sullivan of Water Valley; Donna (Tony) Hardy of Water Valley; nine grandchildren: Julianna Millwood, Jay Davis, Robert Ales, Jonathan Ales, Christopher Perkins, Adrian Ford, Samaj'a Ford, Dakota Ford, and Willow Flemons.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Davis, and his parents, James Ottis Davis and Evyonne Taylor Davis.

Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2025, at the funeral home in Bruce from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. the funeral service will be Monday, March 31, 2025, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Bobby Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery. Allen Baggett, Brad Baggett, Hal Davis, Robbie Goodman, Michael Taylor, and Jamie Webster will serve as pallbearers.
