James E. Ferguson

James E. Ferguson, 85 of Bruce, Mississippi died on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in
Oxford, Mississippi.
Born Wednesday, June 19, 1929 in Bruce, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Velton Ferguson and the late Ida
McCormick Ferguson. He was the husband of Jimmie Countiss Ferguson.
He served in the Navy, and was a retired sawmill owner and logger.
He was a member of Bruce First Baptist Church, lifetime Mason, former member of the Lions Club, former V.F.W
member, former community bank board member for Bancorp South, and former School Board member.
Surviving are sons, Ronnie (Meredith) Ferguson of Brandon, MS and Kennon (Barbie) Ferguson of Clinton, MS,
daughters, Connie Arrington of Oxford, MS and Dee Ann (Heath) Franklin of Pittsboro, MS, sister, Melba Box of
Bruce, MS. Grandchildren, Barry (Paige) Arrington, Brandon Arrington, Hunter Bryant, Devin Bryant, Lori Ferguson,
Leah Durkin, Grant Ferguson,and Alanna Ferguson.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Mickey
Ferguson officiating with Dr. Daniel Hathorne Assiting. Interment will be in Memory Memorial Garden, Bruce, MS.
Pallbearers will be: Barry Arrington, Brandon Arrington, Devin Bryant, Hunter Bryant, Grant Ferguson and Heath
Franklin.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 30, 2014, at Parker Memorial Funeral
