James Russell Griffin

Mr. James Russell Griffin, 73 of Bruce, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Baptist Memorial
Hospital  in Oxford, Mississippi.
Born Wednesday, July 14, 1943 in Algoma, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Joseph Griffin and the late Janet Peden
Griffin.
He was a retired sewing machine mechanic with Kellwood
He was a member of Carey Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Joseph Terry Griffin (Tammy) of Pittsboro, MS and Matthew Lane Griffin of Bruce, MS, brothers, Jimmy
Ray Griffin (Sarah) of Bruce, MS, Randy Griffin (Brenda) of Bruce, MS and Rick Griffin (Catherine) of Ecru, MS, sisters,
Bessie Mae Starks (Cecil) of Smithville, MS and Debbi Harrelson(Danny) of Bruce, MS; grand children, Noelle Griffin, Patrick Griffin,
II, Monica Jade Griffin, and Kimberley Rose Griffin,  2 great grand children.
He was predeceased by son, Patrick Luke Griffin, Sr. Brothers, Bobby Joe Griffin, and Raymond Griffin. sister, Dorothy
Griffin.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with  Bro. Rick Griffin, Bro.
Jamie Stark, and Rev. Willie Isabel asisting and Bro. Junior Ritchie officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Mount Cemetery,
Pittsboro, MS.
Pallbearers will be: Alton Griffin, Jeff Griffin, Joey Griffin, Mike Griffin, Tracey Griffin, Jahew Harrelson, Tony Griffin, and
Ben Stark.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Corey Griffin, Craig Griffin, Danny Paul Griffin, Marty Griffin, Timmie Griffin, and
Joey Turner
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2016, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home,
476 hwy 9n, Bruce, Mississippi.
