James Emmett Helms

James Emmett Helms, 86 of Horn Lake, Mississippi passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Desoto
Center in Southaven, Mississippi.
Born Thursday, May 15, 1930 in Delhi, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Terry Helms and the late Mae Putman  Helms.
He was the husband of the late Mary Massey  Helms.
He was retired from Miller Transportation.
Surviving are  daughter,  Linda Helms Ward of Tupelo, MS, son, James E. "Jim" Helms, Jr. of Horn Lake, MS., brother, Tommy
Helms (Evelyn) of Ringgold, GA.; grand children, Amy Lindley(Rodney), and Jennifer Ward. great grandchildren; Anna Katherine Lindley,
and Jacob Lindley: Niece Marilyn Helms (Lee Tubbs), Nephew; Dale Helms (Lynn), and Jeff Helms (Bree).
Preceded in death by a brother; Terry Helms.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with  Jacob Lindley officiating.
Interment will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, Banner, MS.
Pallbearers will be:Jacob Lindley,Rodney Lindley Bobby Farris, Tommy Farris, Dale Helms, and Jeff Helms, .
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home,
476 Hwy 9N, Bruce, Mississippi.
