James Elzey Hobson Jr.

James Elzey Hobson Jr., 66, passed from this life on July 20, 2020 at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, Mississippi. Born on September 30, 1953 in Tunica, Mississippi; James was a son to the late James Elzey Hobson and Mary Thacker Hobson.

James leaves behind an expansive family to carry his fond memory in their hearts; Brothers: Joe Hobson of Oxford, Mississippi; John Hobson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Tommy Hobson of Sardis, Mississippi; Kenneth Hobson of Water Valley, Mississippi; sisters: Diane Floyd of Grenada, Mississippi; Ollie Hobson of Pontotoc, Mississippi; Anita Newsome of Bruce, Mississippi; Betty Hobson of Pontotoc.

He was preceded in death by his parents;  James Elzey Hobson and Mary Thacker Hobson; brother, Glenn Hobson.

The graveside service remembering James life will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at First United Pentecostal Church cemetery beginning at 10:00 Am with Bro. Rick Gladwell officiating. Josh Galloway, James Hale, Matthew Hobson, Steven Hobson , Thomas Hobson,and Jerry Self will serve as pallbearers.
