James Franklin Watson, 80, passed this earthly life on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. He was born April 9, 1944, in Meridian, MS to the late James Watson and Gladys Jones Watson.
James was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight. He was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church and was a member of The Grand Masonic Lodge of Mississippi #573, Little Rock, MS. James loved to buy and sell crafts and was an avid collector of everything. He also enjoyed woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Gladys Jones Watson; daughter Teresa Michelle Watson; son Brian Keith Watson; and brother Thomas Waston.
Those to survive James are his wife Glennie Robi Watson, of Philadelphia, MS; daughter Lisa Watson (Gerald) Thompson, of Bruce, MS; stepson Scotty (Alva) Howell, of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren: Stormy Thompson, Jesse Devine, Teresa Addy and Kaley Addy; and step grandchildren: Shaun Howell and Clint Howell.
Visitation for James will be Monday, May 27, 2024, at Little Rock Baptist Church, Little Rock, MS, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral honoring James life will also be Monday, May 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the church with Bro. Kevin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Little Rock Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Mike Chaney, Jason Goforth, Ricky Goforth, Ryan Goforth, Festus Hagan, and Joey Rigdon
