James Michael Wooten, 57, of Coffeeville departed from this life on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home. He was born on April 04, 1965 in Houston, MS to the late Edward Frank Wooten and Elizabeth Chrestman Wooten.
Mike was a graduate of Coffeeville High School and attended Northwest Community College. Mike enjoyed fixing trucks and equipment. In his spare time he enjoyed playing the guitar and catching up with his friends. He collected antique signs. Everyone knew him as Mike and he held a good relationship with anyone he came in contact with.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Jean Mosley Wooten of Coffeeville; sister, Teresa (Bobby) Phillips of Jackson, TN; step daughter, Kelly (Jason) White of Bruce; step son, Mac Brasher of Bruce; two grandchildren: Preston and Taylor White.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Frank Wooten and Elizabeth Chrestman Wooten.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Coffeeville First Baptist Church. The funeral service honoring Mike’s life will take place on Monday, December 12, 2022 with Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Patrick Cain, Keith Carson, Gaylon Gray, Brad Kilgore, Scott Patterson, Joe Don McCrary, Jay Warren, and Cody Weeks will carry Mike to rest in Mt.Tabor cemetery. Mac Brasher, Mackie Brasher, Bob Brown, Bobby McCrary, and Ricky Russell will serve as honorary pallbearers.
